Memory of Modern Egypt wins the Kindi Informatics Award

In the context of appreciating the Arabic endeavors for pacing with the information and communication revolution, the Informatics Syrian Association has organized the celebration of granting the Kindi Informatics award under the auspices of her Excellency, Dr Nagah Al Attar, Deputy President of the Syrian Arab Republic.

Memory of Modern Egypt has won first place as the best Arabic cultural website on the Internet. The website represents a digital repository archiving the modern history of Egypt within the past 200 years through a digitized variety of material pertaining to that era.

Contributing to the enrichment of the Arabic content on the Internet, Memory of Modern Egypt has received more than 30 million hits since its launching in October 2008.
