Discover Your Environment Camp

From: 01 October 2010 To: 31 December 2010 Age Group: 10 -16 years

The PSC organizes a variety of camps to a diversity of locations, with the aim of introducing young students to the Egyptian environment and allowing them to interact with it. The program helps students identify wildlife patterns and regional biodiversity, as well as astronomical phenomena.


 


Dina Farms Trip

From: 08 July 2010 To: 08 July 2010

The mission of Dina Farms is to produce premium quality products by applying the best applicable production technologies and management practices to meet the identified needs of consumers in local and global markets; thereby enhancing Egyptian exports and creating more job opportunities across several sectors of the national economy. At Dina Farms, students will know more about agriculture, animals and Agro-Industries.


 


El Fayoum Camp

From: 21 June 2010 To: 07 September 2010

Elfayom is a unique example of environmental and cultural diversity. This camp allows students to interact with this environment, aiming to develop children’s teamwork and scientific problem-solving skills. The camp activities are multidisciplinary and tackle astronomy, history, geology and botany.

 


Discover Your Environment - Siwa Oasis Camp

From: 08 February 2010 To: 10 February 2010

"Discover your environment" is a specialized camp for students. The challenge is to manage and provide a constructive method to make students interact and have harmony with their environment. The Planetarium Science Center team has chosen Siwa Oasis as a unique example of environmental and cultural diversity.

 

 The camp covers different themes such as History, Astronomy and Geology. The aim of the camp is to develop the students thinking skills, scientific problem solving, and team work. These values are the cornerstone of building Egyptian future leaders and researchers.


 


El-Fayom Camp

From: 06 February 2010 To: 09 February 2010 Age Group: 13 -18 years

El-Fayom is a unique example of environmental and cultural diversity. This camp allows students to interact with this environment; it aims is to develop children’s team working and scientific problem solving skills. The camp activities are multidisciplinary and tackle astronomy, history, geology and botany.

 


Baharia Oasis Camp

From: 29 January 2010 To: 02 February 2010 Age Group: 13 -18 years


Scientists have chosen the Egyptian Western Desert as one of the most similar areas to planet Mars in terms of soil, rock structure, atmosphere and groundwater. The Baharia Oasis is also famous for the civilizations and significant events that it has witnessed including the Pharaohs, the Romans and World War II.

 
This camp is organized during the midyear vacation to provide young students with an opportunity to interact with the nature and biodiversity of the Western Desert through identification of wild life and bird migration patterns. Participants will also learn some secrets of the stars and galaxies through observation of the Saharan skies.
