Egypt Wins Seven Prizes in Intel Science Competition Arab World 2011

His Highness Sheikh Abdallah bin Salem bin Sultan AlQasimy, Deputy ruler of Sharjah, witnessed the closing ceremony of Intel Arab World Science Fair 2011, hosted by Sharjah university in cooperation with Ministry of Education and Intel Corporation at AlRazi Hall at the Medicine and Health Campus.


Women in Science 2011 postponed

School Year Program

The PSC invites you to join its annual School Year Program, which will take place during the period 1 October 2011 to 30 April 2012. The Program offers a variety of workshops that suit different age groups. Each workshop is designed to accommodate groups consisting of 10-25 students for a nominal fee; EGP 2 per student. The workshops are conducted from Sunday to Thursday; two groups per day, 10:00–11:00 and 11:30–12:30.

National Youth Chess Competition

Serageldin Elected Member of the American Philosophical Society

The members of the American Philosophical Society (APS) have voted Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria into membership. This high honor was conferred to Serageldin in recognition of his extraordinary accomplishments in fields of intellectual endeavor and public service.


Serageldin Receives NAS Public Welfare Medal

In January 2011, the National Academy of Sciences (NAS), in Washington DC, selected Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, to be the 2011 recipient of their most prestigious award: the Public Welfare Medal. On Sunday 1 May, the medal was presented to Serageldin in an award ceremony held during the Academy’s 148th annual meeting.
