The Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the new Library of Alexandria, is joining the world in celebrating the life and achievements of the great William Shakespeare.
A five-day festivity entitled “Shakespeare400: Forever and a Day” will be held from 23 to 27 April, 2016, bringing together international speakers and performances from around the world, all united in their love for and appreciation of the Bard whose works transcend temporal, geographic and linguistic barriers.
An international academic conference; public seminars; workshops; film screenings; children’s activities; artistic performances and exhibitions, will bring the community together in a week-long journey into the magic world of the great William Shakespeare. Some of these activities are free for all to participate, while others may require the purchase of tickets. Please check each individual activity for exact details.
