Professor of English

Professor of English at Cairo University and distinguished scholar, playwright, critic and translator, Prof. Enani has published over 100 translations of literary and critical works into Arabic and English, including 24 Shakespearean plays, with a translation of the Sonnets forthcoming.

He is the founder and Editor in Chief of two series of translated literary works both into Arabic and English at the State Publishing House (GEBO) in Cairo.

Prof. Enani has won all three Egyptian State Awards for Literature, the last in 2002.

He has also won Saudi Arabia's World Translation Prize in 2011; ALESCO's Award for Translation in 2013; and the Egyptian National Council for Translation Award in 2014.
