Opportunities to Excel
11 December 2014

AAS and NEPAD are in the process of creating a funding platform at AAS - Alliance for Accelerating Excellence in Science in Africa (AESA). This new platform is intended to support the development of scientific capacity across Africa.

The platform (AESA) will identify challenges that hinder rapid scientific advancement in Africa, run open calls for proposals with transparent review processes, actively manage grants and evaluate and measure the impact of such investments. The AESA proposal has attracted strong support from a number of funders. The support we have received is allowing us to recruit key positions for AESA.

At this stage we have just produced adverts for the posts of Director and Chief Operations Officer (COO) and have enlisted the services of a Deloitte as a HR consultant. Interested candidates should apply directly to the Consultant (Deloitt) and not AAS.
