The BA Islamic Civilization Studies Program organizes this seminar in cooperation with a group of researchers from Egypt and Mexico. The event will tackle a number of topics, including the influence of Islamic Civilization on Latin America (from the 15th to the 19th century), a database of Islamic presence in Latin America, the Arab collection and the projects concerned with the Islamic world at the National Museum of History (Museo Nacional de Historia) in Mexico, Moorish presence in Latin America, Islamic presence in Latin America before Christopher Columbus, and Mudéjar architecture and art in Latin America.
