Objective: The course aims to study the evolution of the topography and use of spaces in Alexandria and other regions of the Hellenistic world, such as Antioch, Pergamon, Ephesus, Delos, Rhodes, and Priene.

Content: Through this comparative study, students will study the description and analysis of the various features and aspects of many Hellenistic centers, with a focus on the important architectural structures that were erected in those cities, and the process of mutual influence and effect that took place between those cities during the Hellenistic era, as well as the impact of the environment on planning and developing the cities. The course also deals with the changes that occurred in the city of Alexandria, especially through the ages, from its inception till the Islamic era.
