Objective: The student traces the aesthetic elements in Greek art and develops their own skills in interpretation and dating.
Content: The course deals with an overview of artistic production in ancient Greece. The course presents topics of Greek architecture (religious buildings, local buildings, funerary buildings, theaters, gymnasiums, etc.), materials and techniques of sculpture, terracotta statues, frescoes, colored pottery, mosaic, and minor arts.
