Lecture: Thonis-Heracleion: A Port at the Edge of the Great Green Sea

Brief:
This lecture will discuss the ancient harbour of Thonis-Heracleion which was located at the entrance of the Canopic Branch west of Alexandria looking at the phases of development and the fate of the city. It will also look at some of the shipwrecks that were found on the site including working and ritual boats.
