In collaboration with The German Institute of Oriental Archeology in Cairo, the Center is organizing a five-day workshop on "Epigraphy and Epigraphic Research – Issues, Methods, Challenges and Perspectives" from October 21-25, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 3:oo p.m. in Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Conference Center, Room (E). The lectures are given by Dr. Linda Borrmann, in cooperation with Stephan Seidlmayer, Lena Krastel, Svenja Dirksen.

 BA, represented in the Center, participated in the opening ceremony of the International Association of Printing Museums in Chonju, South Korea with 41 museums and research institutions concerned with printing history and printed heritage, and 80 specialists and researchers in the history and heritage of printing from 19 countries Worldwide.

 The Center is organizing a Hieroglyhic Course (First Level). The course will start on Sunday, October 14 and ends on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. It will be held weekly Sundays and Tuesdays, from 3 p.m to 5 p.m at Bibliotheca Alexandrina Main Building, 3rd Floating Room.

The Manuscripts Center the Writing and Scripts Center are organizing a specialized workshop on the history of Quranic manuscripts. The main lecturer is Prof. Bashir b. Hassan b. al-Hamyari, Assistant Professor at Tiba University, KSA. The workshop will be held in BA Conference Center- Lectures Hall.

 The Center is organizing a summer workshop for children and young people starting from 8 to 16 years old on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays through the month of July in Room “A”, from 12 noon till 2 pm. Another workshop will be held in the “Arabic Calligraphy Museum” in Moharam Beik, to introduce to the participants the importance of Arabic Scripts. They will be trained to make their Arabic calligraphy panel and decorate it.
