LYM Session - 2 August 2009

Our last meeting started with Dr. Salah Soliman welcoming the attendees and starting with a presentation discussing the smuggling of the statue of Nefertiti since sending it to Berlin Museum to be displayed in 1913, and the Egyptian efforts to get it back since this time. He also explained the value of the statue as one of the most valued monuments of ancient Egypt.

After this, Engineer Hani Kotb gave a presentation about “Urban and Architectural heritage”; in which he talked about “El Khan” organization which is concerned with the restoration and renovation of ancient areas and displayed some of their projects targeting ancient districts in Cairo and Jerusalem.

We hope you enjoyed our last meeting and we look forward to see you in the coming one 9th of august 2009 – 4.00 pm – Multipurpose Hall. Dr. Salah Soliman will give a lecture on the Role of Youth regarding the Problem of Climate Change. Then Sara Al Shater will give a presentation about the same topic.
