The BA Francophone Network carries out many services that aim to serve the Francophone community, mainly professionals, librarians and researchers, and provide them with all the information they need in many and different fields through its innovative virtual services and various programs and projects related to information services.
With the aim of fostering cooperation among BA Francophone partners and building Francophone networks that link all the Francophone researchers and professionals in Egypt, the MENA region and other Francophone countries, the BA Francophone Network works on conducting agreements with international Francophone institutions including universities, research centers and libraries; enhancing all the provided services to French-speaking community specifically in Egypt; offering new and innovative capacity-building program to the Francophone professionals; and contributing to the informal education.
The BA Francophone Network seeks to fulfil and achieve the above-mentioned objectives through innovative services and projects to support Francophone researchers and professionals and enhance their capacity building.
The operating projects implemented by the BA Francophone Network include: DUSIB , a French online degree in information sciences, including an academic part provided by Senghor University and the French National Library and Information Science School (ENSSIB), and a practical part organized by the National Library of France (BnF) or the Bibliotheca Alexandrina; Callima, an innovative service based on online questions and answers that provides users with all the information they need in a determined period; and RFN , a Francophone digital library that aims to digitize, preserve and promote worldwide the Francophone cultural heritage. Twenty-seven international institutions were selected to participate in this project including the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.

Réseau Francophone de la BA
Le Réseau Francophone de la BA fournit des services visant à accompagner la communauté francophone, notamment les professionnels, les bibliothécaires et les chercheurs, et à mettre à leur disposition toutes les informations nécessaires dans des domaines multiples et variés ; et ce à travers ses services virtuels innovants et à travers divers programmes et projets en matière de services d’information.
Ayant pour objectif de favoriser la collaboration parmi les partenaires francophones de la BA et de créer des réseaux francophones qui relient les professionnels et chercheurs francophones en Egypte, dans la région MENA et dans d’autres pays francophones, le Réseau Francophone de la BA œuvre pour conclure des conventions avec des institutions francophones internationales, dont universités, centres de recherche et bibliothèques ; améliorer tous les services offerts à la communauté francophone, particulièrement en Egypte ; offrir des programmes nouveaux et novateurs en matière de développement des capacités aux professionnels francophones ; et contribuer à l’éducation non formelle.
Le Réseau Francophone de la BA cherche à atteindre et à réaliser les objectifs susmentionnés à travers des services et des projets novateurs visant à soutenir les chercheurs et les professionnels francophones, et à renforcer le développement de leurs compétences.
Parmi les projets opérationnels mis en œuvre par le Réseau Francophone de la BA figurent : DUSIB , une formation française en ligne, sanctionnée par un diplôme, en sciences de l’information, dont le volet théorique est dispensé par l’Université Senghor d’Alexandrie et l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Sciences de l’Information et des Bibliothèques (Enssib), alors que celui pratique est organisé par la Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF) ou la Bibliotheca Alexandrina ; Callima , un service novateur fondé sur des questions et réponses en ligne qui fournissent aux usagers toutes les informations nécessaires dans un délai déterminé ; et RFN , une bibliothèque numérique francophone qui vise à numériser, préserver et promouvoir le patrimoine culturel francophone à l’échelle mondiale. Vingt-sept institutions ont été sélectionnées afin de prendre part à ce projet, dont la Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
