The Alexandria and Mediterranean Research Center, Bibliotheca Alexandrina, organized the book launch of Seven Days at the Cecil, by Harry Tzalas and translated by Susan Mandouvalou – Power. The event was held on Thursday 8th April, 2010  at the Lectures Hall at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina’s  Conference Center.

During the book launch, Mr. Harry Tzalas read some extracts from his book.  This was followed by comments and explanations presented by Mr. Ibrahim Abdel Meguid, the famous Egyptian writer.  Dr. Azza Kararah was also one of the speakers and commentators on the book.  She managed to introduce and read out parts from the book in such a talented and professional way that  the audience were spellbound.  Her readings were accompanied with beautiful songs from the past, like “Les Feuilles Mortes” or “The Autumn Leaves” by Edith Piaf and Yves Montand, most of the audience were singing along with the songs.
