Seminars & Conferences: What Coins Can Tell Us About the Life And Culture of Alexandria During The First Two Hundred Years Of the Roman Occupation


A lecture titled “What Coins Can Tell Us About the Life And Culture of Alexandria During The First Two Hundred Years Of the Roman Occupation” is being organized by Alex Med, in cooperation with the Public Relations Department, as part of the 17th meeting of the BA’s Friends. The lecture will be given by Professor Stein Evensen, a professor of Medecine at Oslo University and one of the BA’s friends in Norway. The topic of the lecture will revolve around the coins that were minted in Alexandria after Cleopatra lost Egypt to Octavian and that are famous among collectors.
The duration of the lecture is 45 minutes and questions from the attendees will be allowed.
