The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair 2019 was held in the United States of America from May 12 - 17, 2019 in Phoenix, Arizona

   The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair is the largest international competition in the field of pre-university science, offering more than 1,700 students worldwide the opportunity to gather, share ideas, showcase advanced science projects, and compete for millions of dollars in scholarships, and scientific trips; where the opportunity is available to meet scientists from all over the world and Nobel laureates in various fields of science.

   The Egyptian students that won the top five positions in the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Science And Engineering fair were represented by five teams of students in the following categories: Materials Science, Earth Sciences and Environment, Software Systems, Environmental Engineering, Biochemistry. Seven other projects were also represented from Cairo, Giza and Upper Egypt.

   The Bibliotheca Alexandrina Science and Engineering Fair was held from 16-18 March 2019, it covered the governorate of Alexandria and Delta governorates. The exhibition was attended by 5100 students, with a total of 3,400 projects. A total of 228 male and female students attended the final exhibition at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.

   Bibliotheca Alexandrina, represented by the Planetarium Science Center, has been participating in Intel International Science and Engineering Fair since 2008, and the winners are invited to participate in the exhibition. Students from the Egyptian team received major awards from 2013 to 2017.

   The Bibliotheca Alexandrina partners have provided the necessary funding to support the winning students' for their trip to the International Exhibition. The US Consulate supported the travel expenses and Misr El Kheir Foundation provided the proper academic training for the students before going to the international competition.
