Calligraphy Studies Center is documanting the heritage of Ibrahiem Almasry, the famous caligraher.

Within the framework of the ongoing collaboration between The Embassy of Greece and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Calligraphy Studies Center is celebrating the closing ceremony of the ancient Greek language course, with the presence of his excellency the General Consul of Greece.

Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) aims to be the world’s window on Egypt and Egypt’s window on the world, accordingly  BA organized in cooperation with Syndicate of Tourist Guide in Alexandria, the festivity "Egyptian Tourist Guide : Voice of Egypt".

Calligraphy Studies Center organized the seminar "Kinship Terminology in the Ancient Egyptian Pyramid Texts" by Dr. Marcelo  Campagno, Professor of Ancient History and Egyptology at CONICET− University of Buenos Aires.

Calligraphy Studies Center is publishing a new book titled Ayyubi and Mamluki Tombstones in Egypt.

Calligraphy Studies Center documented 400 inscriptions dating back to the Mamluki era in Syria.

“Diwan of Arabic Calligraphy in Egypt during the Muhammed Ali Dynasty” was issued in the framework of a new series of books entitled “Studies of Contemporary Arabic Calligraphy”; one of the scientific publications of which Bibliotheca Alexandrina is concerned.
