To remove potential confounding, logistic regression models were used to adjust for various factors such as maternal smoking, prior still-birth, prior neonatal death, etc. One model further adjusted for birth weight SDS and birth length SDS (fully adjusted); one model did not (partially adjusted). The difference will reveal the impact of size at birth as a mediator between twin pregnancy and neonatal mortality.
