VISAS can be obtained either from the Egyptian Consulate in Washington or directly from the airport in Egypt. If you obtain the Visa from the Egyptian Consulate, it will be issued in 48 hours and mailed within approximately 5 business days if the application is mailed.

Download the form and fill in the requested information. You will also need to provide 1 photo and your passport. Your passport will be returned with the Visa. Select "tourist" for the Visa status. We will NOT have an official business letter of invitation from an Egyptian organization for the requirements of a business Visa. The tourist Visa is sufficient for Egypt. If you are requesting a Visa at the airport in Egypt the procedures are quicker and more flexible; only a valid American passport is needed.
