The group overall, when they looked at all the participates, did demonstrate some improved performance in memory strategy use by self-report, but when they split the groups apart, all that statistically significant change was accounted for by the 24-session group, the longer group. Those people did improve on memory strategy use and on objective tests on memory. And the shorter group really had no demonstrable changes in the targeted memory areas or on objective memory tests. It just didn’t work.
